Dragons - A Fantasy Made Real combines a fascinating fictionalized present day quest of the renowned palaeontologist, Tanner, with an age long before the existence of the human race: Tanner is sent to the icy mountains of Eastern Europe, where remains of a giant reptilian beast have been discovered. As our scientist performs an autopsy of the creature, he realizes that his lifelong search for the undeniable proof is right in front of him… and while he studies the full evolutionary history of dragons, he plunges the audience into a spectacular 'fantasy-made-real' world that imagines - through stunning computer animations and dramatic recreations - what our planet would have been like if these incredible fire-breathing creatures actually did exist.

The special effects and complex CGI for this genre-busting special are designed by Framestore CFC Graphics House (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Troy, Walking with Dinosaurs).
