CROSSING LINES

TANDEM COMMUNICATIONS and Bernero Productions today announce it will launch development on a new English-language, one-hour primetime series. Working with top U.S. showrunner Edward Allen Bernero, who has been the showrunner and executive producer of the worldwide hit series Criminal Minds for seven years, TANDEM will conduct meetings at MIP TV with its international network of broadcasters and home entertainment partners. Crossing Lines is an action crime series about a broken New York detective, who finds unlikely redemption when an ex-colleague convinces him to join an elite unit of younger cops to hunt down Europe's most brutal criminals.

Mr. Bernero, formerly a Chicago police officer, brings his extensive, on-the-street experience to the series' concept, ensuring cutting-edge action, drama and suspense.

"Ed Bernero is on that very short A+ list of top series talent. His sense of storytelling and his understanding of what makes people tick is unique and thrilling", says Rola Bauer, President, TANDEM COMMUNICATIONS. "The one-hour drama series arena is for Tandem the next logical step after our years of experience in producing Event limited series. We have always strived to work with the best talent regardless of which format; having Ed Bernero with us on this project continues this tradition."

"Some of my favorite television shows are coming from the EU right now," says Ed Bernero. "As storytelling becomes more global, it's extremely exciting to team up with a company the caliber of Tandem that truly understands how to create content with widely diverse stories, locales and internationally-renowned casts that appeal to broad audiences worldwide."
