TANDEM COMMUNICATIONS today announces it holds all worldwide distribution rights for Titanic: Blood and Steel, a new $33 million, 12 x 1-hour action/drama series.

The series is produced by Los Angeles-based 3 Arts, the UK's Artists Studio, Italian public broadcaster Rai TV and in association with TANDEM COMMUNICATIONS. The production company is Italy's De Angelis Group.

This timeless epic story comes to the television screen with a new twist. Titanic: Blood & Steel chronicles the building of the Titanic, beginning in Edwardian Belfast in the early 1900s. This was a time of intense political and corporate intrigue, labor unrest, leading to the unionization of workers and the beginning of women's emancipation. It is a fascinating narrative focusing on the concept of the 'American dream', when immigrants were leaving Europe to make a new life in America. The series takes us through to the point when the Titanic leaves port on that fateful day in 1912 to make the voyage across the cold Atlantic.

Shot on location in Serbia and Northern Ireland, the series' producers built a spectacular 90% replica of the Titanic in Serbia.
