"Getting the recognition for The Pillars of the Earth that we're receiving in the awards season this year is a wonderful testament to the quality of Pillars," says Rola Bauer, Partner and Managing Director, TANDEM Communications and Executive Producer of the series. "We love Ken Follett's masterpiece novel, and we believed from the beginning it had all the magic needed to be adapted into wonderful Event programming for television.

As a Canadian, I am honoured to be receiving this prestigious award. Huge congratulations to Colleen Quinton for the work she and her team did on this enormous project with a very large cast. Kudos to our sound team whose work was a crucial component of the power of the finished series. And great thanks to the entire team for making a series that has been acknowledged as Best Dramatic Series in Canada. Great thanks to our Canadian coproduction partner, Muse Entertainment and to the entire Pillars team. With brilliant direction by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, an extraordinary script adaptation from John Pielmeier, a haunting musical score from Trevor Morris and a cast of the highes quality, we always hoped the program would be acknowledged by viewers, as well as the entertainment community. Thank you to the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television."
