THE COMPANY
In a time when it was us against them, sometimes it was hard to tell the good guys from the bad.
The Company is an emotional rollercoaster ride of a thriller that traces the activities of the CIA’s underground fight with the KGB, spanning the globe from Moscow to Berlin, from Budapest to London, from Washington D.C. to Cuba. It’s the thrilling story of the young, idealistic CIA agent, Jack McAuliffe (Chris O’Donnell), who dedicates his life to the fight against tyranny.
Still wet behind the ears, Jack is sent to the legendary Berlin Base in Germany to work with a man who becomes his mentor: the eccentric and colorful Harvey Torriti – codename “The Sorcerer” (Alfred Molina). Jack and The Sorcerer are imprisoned in double lives, fighting an amoral, elusive, but formidable enemy – in an unrelenting and deadly battle within the CIA itself. Their fight is complicated when Jack falls in love with his informant, Lili – codename “Rainbow” (Alexandra Maria Lara). Without realizing it, Jack’s undying love for Lili makes her a pawn in the hands of the KGB.
Only years later does Jack realize that a traitor within his own ranks has driven Lili - the only woman he will ever love – to an early death and sabotaged every one of his humanitarian missions. Together with the counterintelligence Chief, James Angleton (Michael Keaton), the three men are hell-bent on finding this mole before the world that they have fought so hard to preserve and have given up so much for is completely destroyed.
CIA & KGB: freedom-fighters or tyrants...
... the people will determine the truth.
