THE NORA ROBERTS COLLECTION II: BY POPULAR DEMAND, THE FRANCHISE CONTINUES. MILLIONS OF VIEWERS WORLDWIDE WANT MORE OF THE PUBLISHING PHENOMENON’S BOOKS AS PRIMETIME TELEVISION EVENT MOVIES.
Munich, Germany (2008/04/07) - Mandalay Television and Stephanie Germain Productions in association with TANDEM COMMUNICATIONS announced today the next collection of four more movies in the Nora Roberts television franchise for start of sales at MIPTV 2007 in Cannes. Following the worldwide success of the first four television event movies, Montana Sky, Angels Fall, Blue Smoke and Carolina Moon, the franchise continues by popular demand. The first collection has been sold in more than 160 territories and is topping television ratings worldwide.
Six more of Nora Roberts' books are being developed in order to produce another four movies in the next collection. The first four movies supported a stellar cast, consisting of Heather Locklear, Jacqueline Bisset, Claire Forlani, John Corbett, Alicia Witt, Oliver Hudson, Scott Bakula, Diane Ladd and Talia Shire, just to name a few. The new collection will live up to this standard of first-rate casting and outstanding production value to support Nora Roberts' strong and provocative stories, promising to capitalize on the ratings successes enjoyed by the first four.
In the U.S. for Lifetime Network, the collection tripled their average rating for the primetime slot; in Germany ARD won primetime three times; in Spain, Antenna 3 won the time slot and reached a 23.2% market share, beating their average of 20.6%; in Poland, the collection performed an average of 30% better than the slot's norm and in Hungary, TV2' s airing in primetime brought in as high as a 29% share in the key demo.
Next to J.K. Rowling, Nora Roberts is the most successful author in the world with more than 300 million books sold to date. Now her fans are crossing over to television.

Once again, Peter Guber's Mandalay Television will join creative forces with producing veteran Stephanie Germain to turn Roberts' compelling thrillers into a new collection of event movies.
Guber, a 30-year veteran as a producer, has to his credit such movies as Midnight Express, The Color Purple, Rainman, Batman and Flashdance to name a few. His films have earned billions at the box office and have been the recipients of numerous Academy Award® nominations.
Stephanie Germain's recent credits include the EmmyÒ nominated Ike: Countdown to D-Day for A & E, Gracie's Choice, a Lifetime Original Movie, Jeremiah, a series for Showtime and she served as executive producer on the 20th Century Fox release of The Day After Tomorrow.
